Removal

At all do not remove the shock-absorber if the spring reliably is not compressed. At installation of the adaptation for spring compression watch that spring coils have been reliably captured also the adaptation could not slide off. The spring is compressed by the big effort. Apply only the reliable tool. At all do not connect a spring a wire. Danger of accident!

  1. Clamp a spring with a tip in a vice.
  1. Compress a spring the corresponding adaptation. HUNDRED AUDI apply to this purpose adaptation V.A.G 1752/1 (1).
  1. At compression watch correct position of a spring in the adaptation (an arrow on an accompanying illustration). (1) – the adaptation for compression, (2) – a support for spring coils.
  1. Compress a spring so that the top plate was released.
  2. Turn away a nut with a fillet of fastening of a rod. Thus keep a rod from проворачивания a face key for internal шестигранника. The special tool (2, 3 and 4), shown on an illustration 4.3 (HAZET 4910/13 or AUDI-Т10001/7, Т10001/11 and Т10001/3) is For this purpose necessary.
  3. Remove the compressed spring together with the adaptation for compression.
  1. Remove a protective casing (1) and the bottom support of a spring (2).
  1. Mark position of the bottom plate in relation to the shock-absorber (4).
  2. Disconnect a plate (3) by means of a plastic hammer and remove upward.

Installation

There are springs of various groups of the admission. It is necessary to apply only springs with an identical colour label. It is recommended to replace springs and shock-absorbers in steam, i.e. from both parties of the car.

 

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clamp a new cartridge of the shock-absorber with a tip in support амортизационой racks or in a vice with overlays.

  1. Transfer on the new shock-absorber a label from the old. Cautiously by means of a plastic hammer establish the bottom plate of a spring against the stop on the shock-absorber. Thus watch that the label on a plate has coincided with a label on the shock-absorber.

    I — Left амортизационая a rack,
    In = 65 ± 2 °
    II — Right амортизационая a rack,
    With = 87 ± 2 °

  1. Position of the bottom plate is defined by the sizes specified in illustrations.

  1. Establish into place the bottom support of a spring and a protective casing.
  1. Establish into place compressed spring together with the adaptation for compression. The end of a coil of a spring should adjoin to an emphasis.
  1. Establish a support of the shock-absorber with the top support of a spring on the compressed spring so that the spring support adjoined to the end of a coil of a spring (the marksman on an accompanying illustration). The deviation in limits ± 2 ° is supposed.
  1. Establish a washer and a shock-absorber support.

Watch that the spring end adjoined to an emphasis of the top support of a spring.

  1. Tighten a new nut with a fillet the special tool the moment 50Нм. A spring yet do not unclench.
  2. Press vertically амортизационую a rack the adaptation for compression V.A.G 1752/2.
  1. Release the bottom lock lever and turn the top plate of a spring so that the support scale амортизационой racks stood on a mark 7 °.
  1. Watch that the spring ends adjoined to an emphasis of the top and bottom support of a spring.

  1. Fix the lock lever.
  2. The lever of a support of a spring of adaptation V.A.G 1752/2 (arrows) should coincide with the support centre.

  4. Check up adjustment. If necessary, repeat procedure.
  5. Establish into place амортизационую a rack, address to corresponding section.
