The new engine

The first 1500 kilometres are the period обкатки the engine.

For run the first 1000 km

  • Speed no more than 3/4 from the maximum.
  • Do not squeeze out an accelerator pedal against the stop.
  • Avoid high turns of the engine.
  • Do not tow the trailer.

During the period from 1000 to 1500 kilometres

  • Gradual transition by the speeds is possible up to maximum and to the maximum turns of the engine.

During the first hours works the engine is characterised by the raised internal friction if to compare to the subsequent period when rubbing parts will be earned extra to each other. Efficiency of process extra earnings in an essential measure depends on a driving mode on the first 1500 km of run.

After обкатки engine work on the raised turns also is not supposed. As much as possible admissible frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine represents the beginning of a red field of a scale of a tachometre. At achievement by an arrow of a tachometre of a red field be immediately switched to higher transfer (the car with a manual box of a gear change). Extremely high turns of the engine are blocked automatically.

On cars with a manual box of a gear change do not suppose falling of turns with transition of the engine to an unstable operating mode. In time, uniformity of rotation of a shaft of the engine was not broke yet, be switched to a hill-climbing gear.

All data on speed and frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine concern only the heated-up engine to working temperature. Never - idling, during movement - do not suppose work of the cold engine on the raised turns.

New tyres

  • On the first 500 km of run with new tyres observe extra care.

New tyres initially do not provide optimum coupling with road and consequently should be обкатаны.
