The towing cable should be elastic not to damage both cars. It is necessary to use only a cable from synthetic fibres or similar elastic materials. However it is more safe to use a towing bar!

Before to try to start the engine towage, it is necessary to use whenever possible the storage battery of other car for engine start – address to corresponding section.

At use of a towing cable the driver of the towing car should at трогании from a place and a gear change especially smoothly to release a coupling pedal.

In the absence of oil in АТ it is necessary to tow the car only with the hung out driving wheels.

Models with АТ and a full drive: towage of the car with the lifted forward or back wheels is not supposed.

Models with РКПП and a full drive: If the car is towed with the lifted forward or back wheels, speed of towage should not exceed 50 km/hour, and the towage distance should not exceed 50 km.

Models with automatic transmission

Key in the ignition switch turn in position 2.

Translate selector AT lever in position «N».

The maximum speed of towage: 50 km/h.

The maximum range of towage: 50 km.
Non-observance maximum or range of towage can lead to speed to transmission damage.

On the big distances or in case of damage of a transmission towage is supposed only with the hung out driving wheels.

At towage with the lifted forward bridge or the control of a lay brake at the stand for test of brakes the engine should be switched off. Otherwise, owing to activization of brakes electronic противозаносной damage of brakes of the back bridge will occur system (ESP).

Installation of a towing cable/bar

Forward towing eye

Take a towing eye from the complete set of the onboard tool, at the left in an aperture for a spare wheel.

Disconnect a cover (1). For this purpose press a thumb below, around a pad (2) and press fingers above a little, having released a cover (clips spring).

Screw an eye in a carving aperture against the stop by hand, then insert sideways into an eye a screw-driver or a wrench for a wheel and tighten an eye.

After towage end put an eye in the complete set of the onboard tool.

Connect a cover a pad (2) below, press it from above and thus fix it.

Back towing eye

Execution 1: Screw a back towing eye the same as a lobby.

Execution 2: the Towing eye is welded from below under a bumper.

Emergency start of the car by towage

On models with АТ - it is impossible.

For an exception of damages каталитического the converter it is not supposed to start the car at the warm engine by towage or pushing.

Preliminary try to start the engine by means of the storage battery of other car.

Models with the petrol engine can be towed for the purpose of engine start on distance no more than 50 m since otherwise there is a danger of damage каталитического the converter.

Before towage include 2 or 3 transfer, press and keep a coupling pedal.

Include ignition.

Slowly include coupling if both cars have started to move.

As soon as the engine was started, press a pedal of coupling and switch off transfer not to drive into pulling car.
