Applied impellent oils. The oil expense Engine greasing is carried out by all-weather oil that does not demand seasonal change oils (summer/winter). All-weather oils are based on seasonal oil with low viscosity (for example, 10 W) and are stabilised in a hot condition by means of «the viscosity stabilizer». Thanks to it possibility of greasing both cold, and the hot engine is provided. The designation on SAE characterises viscosity of impellent oil. Example: SAE 10 W 40: 10 — Viscosity of oil in a cold condition. The number less, the oil has smaller viscosity. W — Oil is suitable for operation in the winter. 40 — Viscosity of oil in a hot condition. The more oil has number, the smaller viscosity hot.
Impellent oil Longlife Engines of cars AUDI A4 are filled at factory with special oil Longlife. At application of oil Longlife according to norms VW, the two-year interval of service is provided. Usual impellent oil according to norms VW can be applied also. But in this case the service interval should be reduced to 12 months/15.000 km. Types of oils are resulted in Specifications.
The oil expense At internal combustion engines the oil expense is understood as its such quantity which is consumed owing to combustion process. It is not necessary to confuse the expense of oil to its loss arising owing to негерметичности of the pallet картера, covers a head of cylinders, etc. The normal expense of oil arises owing to combustion of a small amount of oil in cylinders, owing to tap with products of combustion and deterioration products.
