Replacement of the fuel filter

Gasoline and diesel fuel are extremely inflammable, therefore at work with any components of fuel system it is necessary to accept special safety measures. Do not smoke and do not come nearer to a place of work with open fire or the redurable not protected by a lamp shade. Do not make such works in the garages equipped with heating devices, working on natural gas (such, as водогреи, dryers, etc.). The working platform should be ventilated well. At gasoline hit on a skin immediately wash off its water with soap. At carrying out of any works with fuel system put on goggles and hold near at hand the fire extinguisher.

Petrol engines

Replacement procedure is described in Section Removal and installation of the fuel filter.

Diesel engines

Replacement of the fuel filter. The diesel engine of 1.9 l

Replacement of the fuel filter. The diesel engine of 2.5 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove lock скобу (5) and the adjusting valve (2) with the attached fuel hoses.

Disconnect from branch pipes fuel hoses (3) and (4).

Loosen the a collar on the holder (1) also take out the filter from the holder.

Fill the new filter with pure diesel fuel. Thanks to it it will be faster possible to start the engine.

Insert the filter in the holder, displace it downwards and tighten a collar.

Insert the adjusting valve with the attached hoses. Thus watch correct position of a sealing ring in the filter case.

Establish on the adjusting valve lock скобу.

Put on hoses connecting branch pipes. Fix hoses collars.

Start the engine. Thus air from fuel system leaves.

Visually check up fuel system on tightness.
